Shopping for lines can be the difference on showing profits or losses for the season. Lines are so important . How many times have you won , push or loss on a ½ point. I can count so many times a ½ point has determine the outcome of winning or losing a game.

Lines should be consider a major key in sports wagering. I assure you, the books know how important a change of line is on a game.

Shop around and have at least three lines available. If you live in Las Vegas this would not be a problem. Their are many good offshore books available for lines.
Before you use offshore account check out their creditability and make sure they are reputable before using their services.

I like JJgold's ideas more about the topic.

It is better to work on your own game, to improve one's own handicapping ability to refine/develop an edge over the game. Shopping for lines helps, but in the long run I think it is skill that will ultimately determine how you will do.

The focus should be on how to handicap and less so on how you shop.

I think the only reason the topic shopping for line pop up from time to time is that most people are lazy, they won't bother to check anywhere else for a line.

capping is the #1 thing

but i figured i'd post that article for all those new to gambling....
